Set Specific Goals

If you don’t make furthering your education a goal, it’s something you may never get around to. Think about why you want to further your education, how you’re going to do it, and what your timeline is to complete it. When doing so, you want to be realistic and think about your present lifestyle and where education fits in.

It’s okay if you need to deter it to a time where you’ll be able to give it your full focus and attention.

Consider Part-Time Learning

As great as it can be to get your education over and done with in one go, sometimes it just isn’t practical. You should, therefore, be open to the possibility of part-time learning as an option, especially if you’ve begun your education but haven’t been able to complete it. In doing so, you should be able to manage your business as well as learn during your free time.

Look into getting a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies in which you can do business concentration. This includes 18 credits which comprise of five required business courses, but the good thing is, you can do evening and online courses.

Stay Organized

You can quickly become swamped with more work than you can handle if you don’t manage your time and stay organized as an entrepreneur. Think about the best way to ensure you’re able to fit in time to study and stay on top of your business responsibilities too. It may be best to draw up a flexible schedule or timetable, which allows you to get business-related work done during the day and study in the evenings.

Realistically, you may also need to make sacrifices and spend less time socializing just so that you can attain your goal.

Delegating work

Delegate

Following on from the above point, to create more time for furthering your studies, ensure you have a competent team that can run without you. This often begins with learning how to delegate tasks to people capable of carrying them out so that you’ve got less on your plate. If you’re someone who is big on micromanagement, this may be a bit of a challenge. However, the less you have to think about, the more you can invest in doing exceedingly well in your studies.

Furthering your studies as an entrepreneur isn’t something that will be easy to do. There is so much that goes into both running a business and completing a degree, so doing both at the same time can seem impossible. However, by following the above tips, you should find it’s a goal that’s attainable.
